In April, guest presenter Myrna Pearman, biologist, author, and nature photographer, was enthusiastically welcomed to the Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum for two engaging presentations.

Myrna's talks on Mountain Bluebirds and Beauty Everywhere; Tales of a Wandering Photographer attracted a full house of photography enthusiasts, members of the local naturalist community, and the general public of all ages.

Myrna shared a wealth of knowledge through captivating stories and stunning images. Known for her passion for wildlife, conservation, and nature photography, she captivated the audience with beautiful images and engaging stories drawn from her years of observing the natural world.

Her presentations inspired a deeper appreciation for the remarkable plants, animals, and habitats found throughout our region and around the world. It was a wonderful opportunity for people with diverse interests to come together, learn, and enjoy an afternoon celebrating nature.

Guests also had the opportunity to browse and purchase Myrna's specialized books, allowing them to take home a lasting reminder of the afternoon and continue learning from her work. Throughout the event, door prizes added to the fun and excitement, with many lucky attendees going home with donated gifts.

The Grande Prairie Photo Club is proud to have been a contributing sponsor and extends its sincere thanks to Myrna for sharing her time, experience, and enthusiasm. We also thank everyone who attended and helped make the event such a success!
